Default Auto White balance too warm on d700

Hi there everyone,
I'm not sure if this thread was posted before, if it has not, can someone direct me?
Any if not, I've been having too warm on neutral setting with auto white balance
Especially indoors, thus anyone have any advce or tips? Thanks alot!

on a same camera, I usually use the custom setting if possible. else the preset ones arent too bad neither. Else if you have photoshop, you can shoot raw and post edit later.
