Default Batch Renaming - sorry, another qn.

    Ok, i'm stumped.

i need a tool that can do batch renaming of files - with control over the case of the extension.

Some of my pictures have a .jpg extension while some are in uppercase: .JPG.

Problem is that the links generated by the web gallery wizard in Photoshop Elements are only in lower case (.jpg), and my server is case sensitive, which means my .JPG files don't work.

i've taken to manually renaming the smaller galleries (< 50 pic), but some of them have hundreds of photos.

i've tried the batch renaming feature in Irfanview and PS Elements. Irfanview does not give control over the case of the extension. PSE does, but also 'converts' the files at the same time. Not quite acceptable.

Anyone got a solution for this? Thanx.

I'd suggest you visit the following website

    nonags.com freeware website

There's a couple of dozen file renaming utilities there and more than one of them will do the job you require.

I use Rename4u... no need installation... and has simple & advanced mode... very powerful.
