    Default tamron 17 50 2.8 vs Sigma 17 70 2.8-4.5

    Hi guys,

I had 17 70 and got a tamron 17 50 as gift from my friend.

Now i ended up with 2 lenses :
    tamron 17 50 2.8
    Sigma 17 70 2.8-4.5

I know Tamron is 2.8 through but short by 20 mm.
On other hand Sigma offer 2.8 atleast at 17 mm plus macro ( 1:2.3) and extra 20 mm .

I would like to get suggestion if there is any point in keeping both these lense or i can sell of 1 to invest somewhere else .

If someone ask what i shoot then my answer would be anything which comes as oppurtunity.

Am I keeping redundant lenses ???

Do u call tamron 17 50 as upgrade when compare to Sigma 17 70 or vice versa?
    Life is cool :)

try both and shoot intensively with both and see which one is yr favorite. Try to shoot both at same settings and compare the IQ and decide yrself.

Personally, I like the constant 2.8 aperture. I own the Tamron 17-50/2.8 myself and I love it. I am ok with the range as it is the range I use 85% of the time. I also have a 55-200mm VR when I want reach. And I also have a 50/1.8 which is another classic and cheap lens.
