Minolta Dimage 7i or Dimage Z1

hi

i'm quite confuse this few days on whether which DC to get between the Minolta Dimage 7i or the Z1. Previously i am using nikon 990 which i had sold away due for upgrading.

As for the Dimage 7i, i'm planning to get from one of my friend who's also selling for upgrading at 700+. The price between a new Z1 and the 2nd hand 7i dont really seem to difference alot. which one should i get as i am quite new to SLR cam ??? pls help

As always, the first question you should ask yourself is :

What will you use the camera for?

What sort of shooting environment are you likely to face?
