Default New and Nasty Virus Alert

The Win32.Klez virus is currently spreading fast as most virus programs that have not been updated since late last week will not detect it. In many cases once you are infected the virus will actually disable or corrupt your virus program. For those who have been infected, or are concerned they may have been, you can obtain a removal tool from Symantec at the following address which will not only detect but also remove the virus if found, even if you dont have a virus program:

Hee hee... its your job and there are so many morons (as my lecturer puts it) out there... When it comes to life sciences... It's the same... cannot imagine what some people ask, say and think. Especially when I listen to other people's conversation.

"Why go do body check up? Now I ok ok, wait check up liao find got disease ah... don't go better!"

Er... if there's no illness how to find? Its better to detect ealy rather than when you are pale, coughing out blood right? By then maybe no hope liao...

This is one mean virus. Thanks to Ian for the link! It works great and cleaned up my system thoroughly.

Is there any way in Outlook Express to disable auotmatic running of certain attachments like those sent with this virus?

The best thing is I got the virus emails from people I don't know, which included several .gov.sg users. (I have no idea how I got on their address books) The attachments were interesting nevertheless - gives a glimpse into what the other users are doing on their computers, duh.
