Default Ixus i or Ixus II or A80?

Hi guys,

Got a budget of around $600 to get a decent DC. Looking at these 3 models.

Which one would be a good buy if I am mainly using it for family gatherings, outings, overseas trip.

Thnaks in advance.

I use the A80 quite often and like it because of the flexibility (with the flip-out LCD display) and manual mode options. For a P & S, it's quite versitile. At a price of ~$630 I'd say its a good buy.

Think I've narrowed down my choices to the Ixus II and A80. I've been reading the threads and it seems that the Ixus i is more for the looks? Correct me if i'm wrong.

THanks!

u are definitely right... the ixus i can fit into your pocket... no problem.... but

1. it only has digi zoom, the further i goes... the frainier the LCD.
2. No manual options for the avid user
3. Overall, a present to buy for gals... (no sexist intent here)

so in conclusion, a a80 is so much better though it is a bit for ex....
