Hi nice series of pictures.
Can I ask what setting you use for the various environment?? 1) The one at the bride's place where a group of girls surrounding the groom. What aperture, shutter and ISO setting do you use?? I realised the flash is nicely distributed. The bridegroom nearest to you back facing the camera is not too bright and the girl on the far left is not too dark and not covered by shadow. Which one will help produce this kind of nicely distributed flash?? bouncecard? I have taken similar environment before with a diffuser for my nikon SB80-DX but the foreground subject somehow over exposed. 2) In the hotel ballrom, what aperture, shutter & ISO setting do you use?? The couple is nicely lit and the whole ballroom environemt is lite up too. Thank you. Regards |

I have taken similar environment before with a diffuser for my nikon SB80-DX but the foreground subject somehow over exposed. Should be around ISO200, F4, 1/40s. I used a bounce card together with ceiling bounce, probably explains for the distributed lighting. Got to be careful though, with the bounce angle. I have quite a number of shots having the top of the frame overexposed due to inappropriate bounce angle with the bounce card. 2) In the hotel ballrom, what aperture, shutter & ISO setting do you use?? The couple is nicely lit and the whole ballroom environemt is lite up too. Should be around ISO800, F4, 1/30s. Using high ISO and slowest exposure possible, the ambient light will show up. The couple is illuminated with the flash. |
