There's another thread in this Medium Format forum with the address of a shop which sells Seagulls ... maybe if you brought your camera there to buy a strap they might show you how to load the film? Just a guess.
Well, under the camera there should be a large round knob. If you turn it, the back cover will pop open. To close it just do the reverse. How to load, and advance the film .. err.. not sure for your model.

Your lens .. if its not clean ... or maybe hazy ... better to get it serviced. if you want good pics.

Hi, i'm not exactly sure of the model, may other cs-ers can help her out here?

visuals on film-loading can be found on youtube, some other film forums (tlr forums specifically) or tutorials on websites.

shops that sell MF film meaning 120 include ruby, a shop at burlingto square, and one shop in adelphi on ground level (they sell velvia 120, if you want slides).

straps you can get for TLR include a&a, or even fogg straps.

it's actually up to u which straps you wanna get, but i won't get the most expensive ones, as i won't hang a TLR on my hand for a long period of time.

OMG! So coincidental! I just sent my Seagull for servicing as the lever is faulty and the lens are 'blur'. Spent quite a bit but i guess its worth it. The camera is given to me by my late grandfather. I think the camera is twice my age! haha!

And yes, the youtube vid is super useful, thanks!

Since the aperture lever was spoilt, they changed for me and cleaned the lens. If i'm not wrong(i have really bad memory...) Should be $120? But did some research on how the camera functions. They gotta carefully peel off the outer layer of body and 'pry' open it..

If just clean lens i think cheaper. Plus, not all camera servicing shops cleans seagull cams.

I did it near my school(Nafa), its located at sunshine plaza lvl 1. I think its called Camera Hospital or smthing..

seagulls are not very well built, not as good as rolleiflex but they are good in their own ways.

thanks for sharing on where to clean it!

haha, np! I also newbie leh.. I think tomorrow i go buy film and try the camera out. I wasted 3 rolls of film figuring how to load it correctly with minimal exposures. (Luckily got the useful video uploaded here) When i develope the photos i post here ok!

I read forums and people said only Peninsula sells them. I bought my previous 3 rolls there too.

Yeap, compare seagull to roleiflex, its a 2 different thing bah.. I heard roleiflex is still selling at very high price. The Camera Hospital owner said can be priced as high as 8k?!

I've used my seagull for many a shots, and its been giving me nothing but great pictures. Love it, its definitely no slouch compared to its more popular brethren. Its just as good.

Check out my seagull album here (The 6x6 shots are from the seagull)

depends on which rolleiflex, and whatever lenses they are fitted with.

8k i will not pay that sort for a TLR not even a DSLR. 8k can go holiday. Most of these shops always try to hype up prices etc etc...
