Default Mcgill MCLS-1 Macro Ring Light

    Hi macro Snappers,

Does anyone use the Mcgill macro ring light MCLS-1 ? If yes, what is your experience with it. Is the result good compare to using the normal flash ?

hi.. I bought one and could not use it because the light is not strong enough for a higher shutter speed setting.. but then this is just my experience and i am a newbie..

Thanks for your info. I'm suprised to hear that it is not strong enough. Unless I get more positive feedback on the ring light, otherwise, I think I will not go for it.

I bought it and didnt like the idea of the ALWAYs on feature thus i didnt even use it because the light chases away the insect when you go quite near to it with the raynox attached
