Default Minolta 2nd body!

Hi to all,

Just want your opinion on having 2nd body during photoshoot. I feel it's convenience as need not worry about changing lens now & then. But the disadvantage is only films x 2. But better off for me, Ist body with telezoom lens & 2nd ones with macro. So I know my shooting profile.

Another thing, anyone of you out there using Dynax 5. Please give your rating on this camera as I thought of buying it. Now on promotion, Dynax 5 package with 28-100 mm lens plus 75-300 mm lens at $699. Price attractive...

Your call please... I'll be waiting..

I don't carry 2 bodies usually, except important events like wedding (especially when you are the official one ) or paid job (can't afford to screw up ).

For personal interest, my 2nd body usually will be loaded with B&W film, while my 1st with slides.

For me, I don't mind changing lens around to suit the subject, just too much hassle to change film in action, and lose a frame everytime. (Nevertheless, Dynax 7's mid roll rewind/reload is 1st class!)

I don't owe one actually but I've tried it a few times in shops.

I wish I've the extra bucks to have one (saving for DSLR-to-come). If you need a small and light weight body as a backup, nothing in its class range and price can beat it.

Just my 0.02

i own a dynax 5. Rather satisfied with it... though it doesn't have a specific midroll change function.. but can choose to rewind with tip left out.. and by remembering the shots/frame you're at.. you can jump to that next time...
i bought it brand new abt that price you mentioned.. exactly the same package... and that was nearly 2 years ago.

i was looking for a 2nd body too.. similar to wat deslim mentioned.. one for colour.. one for b/w...

i'm also happy with my dynax 5.
how you asked for an e-quote. but i think the price is lower than 699.
one problem with the package - i've used the kit lenses on only 2 occassions and am still trying to get rid of it.
