Anybody have experience of incompatibility of 3rd party lenses (Sigma, Tamron, Tokina) with Canon SLR? If yes, can you list out what's the lens and what camera u using?
I have used my friend's EOS 50 + Sigma 28-200mm before, the camera seems NOT wanting to focus...you press the shutter...then after 1s then only it starts to focus...then focus also very slow slow. Initially (when the lens was still new) there's no problem. Since then I lost confident in 3rd party Canon mount lenses... I think reserve engineering still not done perfectly on Canon secret. |

older sigma lenses need to be rechipped to work with the newer bodies. tamron and tokina seems to be less problematic though. newer sigma lenses work well too.

last time i tried a tokina ATX pro lens on eos3.
the AF feels like scratching a fork on a blackboard. thats a pity...considering that ATXpro lenses are solidly built |
