5 September, Saturday, 5pm to 8pm

The Riverwalk, 20 Upper Circular Rd, #01-01
Centrally located along Singapore River, in between Clarke Quay & Boat Quay.
3 mins walk from Clarke Quay MRT or 12 mins walk from Raffles Place or City Hall MRT

What?

Objectives
(1) Learn how to use flash & studio lights on location, outside of a studio.
(2) Mixing flash with ambient light - the principles & concepts
(3) Learn to improvise lighting with just your own flashguns (no need for expensive outdoor studio gears if you can't afford one)

Outline of workshop
5pm - 6pm: Theory and practice indoors (in air-con area)
6pm - 7:30pm: Practical session outdoors around Singapore River area
7:30pm - 8pm: Review session of images shot + some photoshop insights.

For this workshop, we will be emphasizing on mastering the fundamental knowledge of lighting principles instead of just learning how to use the studio gears or gadgets for improvising with your own flashguns.

We believe that with a true understanding of lighting principles, you can create the best pictures possible in any situation with whatever limited lighting gear you have.
