No problem. OP has benro too. They also stock some velbons and slik. So try them all out. Talk to the sales people. They are quite friendly but they will not disturb you until you ask them a question.

Goodness, the A500EX is about 60-70 bucks cheaper in China.

Nope, that's Peninsula Plaza. Penin SC is across the road. Benphoto is in front of Isle Cafe

Mmm..... I'm using Benro C258 Carbon Tripod.... I can't find this model on the website..... but I did find a similar mode know as C-228 (I hope its the same one ).... Selling at $1985 Renminbi with KS-1 ballhead.

    I got my C258 at $300 (from Jack006) and a KJ-1 Ballhead (2nd hand) at $180.... total $480 SGD.

Did a check on Renminbi.... $1985 = $409.72 SGD...... while I 'think'.... THINK ONLY.... the Ballhead might not be better than mine.... the price really is cheaper !! Wow..... If I travel to China alot (business trip or something).... can bring in a few High End Tripod for sale....

diver-hloc,here is the comparison chart on features and pricing between the KS-1 and KJ-1:

KJ-1 is more expensive. However you have to factor in that you bought used. Used stuff in China is also a lot cheaper, unlike the crazy asking prices here in BnS.

And your 228 is bought at a good price: http://product.pcpop.com/000050879/Index.html
Thing is, a lot also depends on when you bought your tripod, SGD compared to RMB has dropped a lot in the last 1 year.

Yea bro, Remember it is made in China, and they do not have to ship it overseas (i.e. no shipping charges). But exports get a 10-13% tax refund from the govt, so after you factor all those in, shipping charges are also subsidized somewhat.
