Spent the morning at Sime Forest and experienced my first bird wave. This happens when several birds move together as a group and makes a lot of noise trying to scare insects out of their hiding places. It happens quickly and disappears just as fast. Managed to get a shot at one of the participants of the bird wave, but dunno the exact species.
1. Some kind of Babbler. Confirmation anyone? Edited: Striped Tit Babbler ![]() 2. Greater? Racketed-Tail Drongo. Not a member of the bird wave, but saw several of them this morning. Also saw a Black or Crow-billed Drongo, but didnt get a good shot to id. ![]() 3. Another shot of the Drongo. ![]() Last edited by mphil; 2nd January 2004 at 09:31 PM. |
