I tot they are always open for sale, pimping themselves to rich Saudis I think they should have qualified but alas......

But I think not qualifying from the group stages will not be as costly as not qualifying for next season's group stage. Cos I doubt they will make it to the semis.

    Man Utd 0-1 Besiktas

    Ben Foster
    Nemanja Vidic
    Wes Brown
    Rafael
    Gary Neville
    Anderson
    Darron Gibson
    Ji-Sung Park
    Gabriel Obertan
    Danny Welbeck
    Federico Macheda

This type of lineup how to compete with the Turkish.

Already said dun expect too much for this match liao ... as we had already secure to the next round so SAF field this team is not supprising and with almost the whole first team not playing but was expecting he gave Tosic a chance.
And with Wes Brown in the team we sure jia lat one!

At least we had our unbeaten home record for 23yrs in europe who can match us?

Half of the team is below 23 years old (I stand corrected though)... lose 1-0 not bad lah...

Although this match is quite meaningless, losing at home and the unbeaten record is quite bad. And the players involved will not impress Fergie......not good for their career.

Actually to be fair, those young players dont play as a unit in the reserve league so the cohesion and team work are not top notch yet.

The young players will appear better or do better if they come in as sub in the main team.

Put it this way, SAF has the luxury of fielding a 2nd team at Old Trafford for a CL game. Just ask Rafa if he can do that, he would say no way Jose

Man Utd should put away the nxt game with at least a draw.

Now I am looking forward to the league game

Wah quite rare to have 3 penalties in a game. Giggsy goal was very nice. Arsenal kenna trashed at home by Chelsea. Looks like they are going to be hard to catch.

Yeah they are looing good. If by end Dec and we're within touching distance, we have a great chance. Hope the African nations cup in Jan will effect them but quite unlikey, they still got le sulk!

our team seems to be ready to bid for david villa since he just said he is ready to move from valencia... do you think he will be a good addition to the team?

Villa is indeed a great striker as can see in his records in the Spanish La Liga.
But how much will he cost us?
And if he comes, how do we rotate the strikers?
Rooney, Berba, Owen and youngsters like Macheda and Welbeck.
I rather Fergie stick to his current crops of strickers and give the youngsters a chance like what he did last season.
Who knows we will have another Macheda miracle?

Have to "take care" of Defoe.
He's in red hot form at the moment.
