Hi swimcraze,
Try the "dive-hub" down at Concourse Shopping Mall (Beach Rd). Have abt 3 shops (2 on basement and 1 on Grd level). I normally patronised Waikiki (look for John or Rafi) on grd level, good knowledge and friendly. Give it a shot.... Cheers! |

Can check out this stores.... Scubapro - Concourse basement. Will be greeted definitely by Vicky. She always been nice to all the customers & great for diving tips as well. Something "Paris" - Lucky Plaza basement. Meet Charlie down there. Price quite reasonable. First of all, work out on your budget. Ask yourself whether you will dive often. You comfortable with Octopus system or Air 2. My advise is get a good mask & fins for a start, then work your way in getting wet suit, dive computer, BC & of course flash lights for night dive. Again, let me warn you scubadiving is not cheap but it's fun & build up awareness about the whole eco system. Happy diving.... |

try Lucky Plaza(3-4shops), Concourse(3shops), Beach Road Market(Sports center, behind the POSB ATM), or
www.finsonline.com under online database where they have a whole list of dive shops or equipment shops in singapore. |

I didn't purchase anything from them yet but BBC seems to be selling stuff priced quite reasonably well. They were selling jetfins at $130, which is cheaper than the agent during the agent's promotion!!
I went Manado with BBC and even my instructor from any shop admit that no one can beat their price to Manado (Manado only huh, the rest I didn't check). PS: I am not in anyway relate to them, besides taking advance with them. To think of it, my advance card had not arrived yet after taking since two months ago.... |

well, its very subjective and up to individual.
some of the shops just sell equipments whereas some of the shop sell and dive. i personally prefer the latter. probably i feel that they have more experiences to advice. esp if you are buying reg. its very much personal tuning require. and of course, after sales service is important as well. ![]() |

its important that you talk to the people and if possible do a trip with them, then you will know if your 'preferred' group of divers, cos every dive shop/operator works differently. not all will share the same vision (where to dive, what the reason for diving, etc), standards (teaching standards, standards of student), type of gear(norm, techie, high end, etc), etc. as for purchasing gears, you should shop around, ask in person at the shop or on the internet, then calculate your budget then try to fit the gears into the budget. you also should consider which direction you're heading, like just want to be an advance diver, or considering to be an instructor, or going into tech diving. it'll determine the type of gear you should get. |

*Disclaimer* I am not in any sense associated to EastGear or WetWorks and the comments are my personal views
I find that for Basic gears like mask, snorkel, DSMB, shakers and stuff, Eastgear/wetworks sells them in a competitive price which is hard to come by in the normal day dive shops. (at least you know you dont have to beg for a discount) Their service is also good and they are friendly. Gee...what else can you ask for... oh did i mention batteries and chargers?? ![]() okok i know..... just trying to be cheeky.... it is new year's eve you know... sad to say that WETWORKS no longer does diving gear. not a good business to be in when the margins are negative.

i agree. waikiki was where i took my owc under stella. the dive shop is progressive and although their prices might not be the best, i believe they are a one stop centre.
