Default Kelong view Part 2

Was at the kelong again but the sky was very grey. Had a good field day with Garion and the kelong owner for company.

Caught this collared kingfisher on the same tree shared with the StorkBill.

Only gripe was the twig infront of the storkbill. Never had the opportunity for a clean shot of a storkbill. Will try again for a cleaner shot next time round.

Terns !! Saw about 50 plus of them suddenly appeared from nowhere and diving for fishes despite the bad weather and rain. Man they are fast fellows....this one was caught just after diving into the water.

Lastly, the ever popular Grey Heron doing a BRAIN DUMP....

Thanks Chng.

the terns came as a surprise. Probably must have come over from Changi side to this kelong side to feed.

Thanks for the comment. I was quite lucky to even hear the Storkbill sings !! Quite nice sound as compared to the normal kingfishers.
Well we can go there from X'mas Eve onwards till 29th Dec.

Coming soon ... Have a huge backlog of shots to process...

Yup, was a fairly fruitful day today, but Harlequin really got the fruits of his labours....great shots of the kingfishers and terns mate....my picks is no. 1 and no.3...pity of the twig partially blocking Mr. Storkie's big red bill in no. 3., else would have been a killer shot. Well done, you've improved lots.

And yes that 'big mama lens' of yours is indeed incredibly sharp....wah lau u tempting me man...

Mai tu liao...just process lah !

Nature shots in the wild is very hard to shoot man. This coming X'mas must go back to Mr Storkie's tree and chop off that distracting branch ! . just kidding...probably i'll go into the mud and wait for him to return.

Buy that same big mama lens as mine and you will be one happy mate for X'mas....I can hear AP calling you now...
