Should the order of questions be the other way around?
There are different models out, ranging from DIY version made from Styrofoam cup up to Expodisk for 180 bucks. What's your budget?

If you are talking about 'WB lens cap' then it would mean one for each size of filter thread for each of your lens. Multiply that with $50 can be quite substantial. You can either do it the white paper way or get affordable WB lens caps from eBay at around USD3.50 inclusive of shipping. I have ordered one 77mm to try

just look around in Mass Sales, some vendors are selling such products.

Btw, FYI, WB lens cap is taking the WB measurement in an incident way, and white card/gray card are taking WB measurement in reflective way. You need to know how things work, so you can get correct or best results from different methods.

Just getting a white balance cap does not mean you will get the correct white balance. I've tested the mennon cap before and it gives awful results. Have a look at the following thread for a comparison.

Have a look here for Expodisk (and similar tools): http://www.expoimaging.net/support-f...words=ExpoDisc
Ken Rockwell has also done some testing: http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/expodisc.htm

Using grey cards you have to bear in mind that it can be used for two purposes: Exposure metering (18% grey) and White Balance (known reference for correcting WB).
    For White Balance: http://www.digitalartsphotography.com/instructions.htm
(Have your camera manual at hand, the details about setting Custom White Balance are mentioned there.)
    For Exposure metering: http://www.goshen.edu/~marvinpb/graycd.html
