Default What happens if your other half doesn't allow you to shoot them?

What would you do if your other half doesn't allow you to use them as a model? Get another model? Change the Medium format camera to a SLR, or even rangefinder?

    Erm, find out why?

(As in why she doesn't allow, not why cannot add poll.)

good one, Pao. i agree whole-heartedly. in fact it shouldn't be limited to your other half, but to any and everyone. if someone makes his/her wishes known that he/she doesn't want to be shot, it should be respected. switching to a smaller cam/RF or shooting secretly is just unethical and disrespectful.

it might be a little grey in street shooting, where often the best shots are when the subject(s) are behaving naturally and unaware, but IMHO if they notice you shooting and cover their faces, shake their heads or otherwise indicate they don't wish to be photographed, you should smile and move away, even if it's a KOdak moment dying to be captured. at least that's what i always believe and practice myself...

Larry, how about adding in more choices, such as highlighted by Ah Pao? I can't add anything else, only Mods can edit...

hmm a tough choice You got to learn foto editing to improve the result then you can edit the way she want to appear she will feel happy and you can start to shoot her again ...

then plus other package = desktop wallpaper, photo wallpaper, key tags, screensaver etc

of course everything else, respect her decision....
