    Default Need help with choosing a Lowepro Backpack!

    Hi all!

    Recently my camera gear has been increasing and it seems that my Stealth Reporter 300AW is no longer able to fit the stuff. (Now i have 2 lens cases hanging on it... ).

    Gear which will always need to be in the bag;
    -5D + Grip
    -580EXII
    -28 mm f1.8 USM
    -50 mm f1.4 USM
    -85 mm f1.8 USM

    Gear that will need to be in the bag sometimes;
    -Eos 500N film camera (400D size) OR 20D (with grip if possible)
    -Laptop 15.1 Inch
    -ST-E2 Flash transmitter

    Stuff which hopefully can fit too;
    -File
    -Notebook
    -Suona (When i need to go for chinese orchestra rehearsals/performance, roughly size of 500 ml bottle.)

    Anyone has any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

    Computrekker comes to mind. Big enough for future additions as well.

    I was actually looking at Fastpack 350 since it has the additional space for misc stuff. But worried that the 2nd body may not fit.

    Fastpacks are for quick access. Wheras Computrekkers and other such backpacks are meant for carrying more gear. Choose which you need more.

    To be honest, i don't think my gear will increase anytime soon and my lenses are pretty small. Won't a fastpack be sufficient?

    The Fastpack bags will fit your basic list of stuff, but if you're going to be bringing out the additional equipment that you mentioned, it's probably a better idea to get something else.

    Choose either file or laptop, I don't think both will fit at the same time since the laptop compartment's already quite a tight squeeze even with the Computrekker

    It should fit even with grip, but you're going to have to place the camera in one of the "side" compartments, with the front facing the bottom of the bag when it is carried. Main hand grip facing the opening of the bag. My EOS 1000 used to fit in no problem, but if you're talking about 5D or D700 bodies, then it's a different story.

    I was looking for a bag to fit gears similar to yours (only the full-time parts) and did some read-up. Don't think Fastpack can accommodate the 5D+grip as it is not deep enough.
    You may wish to consider Vertex 200 AW for your gears...the depth is sufficient and space huge enough for 2 DSLR w grip, several lens, flash plus a notebook and room for filters, tripod, etc...but it is probably twice as heavy but should be able to provide better protection to your gears.

    I will suggest Computrekker. The laptop compartment can fit some document too.

    I personally use a CompuTrekker AW as well. The only issue that I have with this bag is the cumbersome accessibility. Everytime when you want to take your kit, You have to leave your bag down and open the whole bag to access your kit. Other than that, it's a great bag to carry all my rig. I always carry two neoprense cases (which fits the body + lens) for both my bodies in my CompuTrekker

    Oh. I saw that you were using the 300AW so i thought you would be okay with a shoulder bag. Get the Computrekker like others have said. Or vertex 100AW.
