I have two rolls of expired film, expired a really long time ago. Manage to find them in Thailand for 2 bucks a piece. A ektachrome select 100 which expired in feb 97' and a ERA color which expired in 93'. I read that you should rate these films slightly lower than their original rating due to a loss in sensitivity. Would rating them at half their level eg ISO 50 be good enough?

You should use it to cross process..
The colours comes out nice.. To me, it's quite similar to E-6 process results.. Look at this example of my expired Ektachrome 64 (EXP 11/2007) I cross-process it.. ![]() |

Have you developed the film? Interested in your results at ISO 50.

I have to disagree on that. E6 colors & cross processed results are very different. Cross processed tend to have over saturation.

Sorry phazed, I haven't finished that roll that. I have 3 cameras loaded with film now. So hopefully i finish it soon though! Will post pictures up when I develop and get it scanned. Hopefully it turns out right. Anybody with any experience with such old films? Especially slides. I know there are more sensitive to changes.
