I was editing my photos from raws unlike what i normally do (first time processing RAW), the final product looked extremely different (color wise) in adobe and windows picture viewer, any1 knows how to fix this? it was more gray in the windows picture viewer then in the adobe photoshop

heres some SS to make things clearer

Please check if you're processing an image with Adobe RGB (or aRGB) colour space as Windows assumes all images to have sRGB colour space

my DSLR is set to adobe RGB (using 450D canon)

as for my processing space its set to Adobe RGB (1998), i figured that this was the same as my DSLR, so i left it as that

Generally, Microsoft Windows applications such as picture viewer and Internet Explorer do NOT recognize any colour space and default all images to sRGB.

It is pointless to compare the image quality of an software program that handle only sRGB colour space against image quality from another software that handles sRGB & aRGB.

Knowing this limitation, most cameras have sRGB as default colour space. Knowing this limitation means most images on the web are set to sRGB colour space.

In addition, most photograph developing machines at any photograph developing shops typically use sRGB colour space when processing uploaded photographes by them.

i was expecting a slight differance, but the blue is a rather significant differance

is there a way to sync the colors? so they look the same when i photoshop it?

Just use Photoshop to print the image with Adobe colour space like example at these links below :
    http://www.sns.ias.edu/~jns/files/Ca...file_Guide.pdf
    http://www.adobe.com/studio/print/pd..._workflows.pdf

While the first example shows the difference and explain how its printer colour space matches to Adobe colour space, there are others who find no significant difference like the link below :
    http://www.amershamphotosoc.com/colo...t%20Colour.pdf

Overall, best to print and decide for yourself.

before you save it as a jpeg, convert the colour profile from AdobeRGB to sRGB.

    this will solve your problem
