Question <??> Best time/weather for pre wedding photo

    Hi, all,

I'm helping my friend shooting for pre wedding photos.

I found the sun light in sunny days very harsh, even before 9am in the morning or after 6pm. Not to mention the straight top light in between....The heat also a problem.

My photos from cloudy days render much better...

Considering the heat and sun shine here, How you all think about the best timing/weather for outdoor shooting?

    Thanks

Actually anytime is a good time.. u have to be able to see the light..
Too hot? Find a shady area with good backdrop.. or shoot indoors
In the open with noon sun? Use the sun as backlight and fill in flash or off cam flash or go indoors
In the open with rising or setting sun? Shoot into the sun for flares effects
Raining? Shoot in the rain for romantic effect.. play with umbrellas etc
Night time? play with off cam flash.. street lightings.. etc

    Have fun!

    Thanks for replies.
It's true that anytime is a good time if u can master the light well.
But it's not easy. Or in another words, it's easier to shoot under other weather or timing.
And for some scenes, it's not possible to shoot indoor...

    back to the topic..
If you have the freedom to choose the weather/timing, what do you like?

I think the key here is not to have the freedom to choose the weather/timing but how to create the environment that will produce good photos.

Just think of professional photographers, can they demand perfect light and weather every time when they are on assignment? No, they have to create the environment by using lighting equipments to enable them to produce the photos that clients want.

Nothing much can do about the heat and humidity here, but there always is something you could do where harsh light is concerned.

Re-create a cloudy day; learn how to use multiple fills/reflectors; and take a disadvantage and use it to your advantage. And when nothing can really be done, take a break.

i like it overcast, before and after a heavy downpour. To alot of people. thats a major downside. But it really depends on your style of shooting and what you use to shoot.
