What plugin for painting effects ?

I am looking for some plugins (mac compatible) to run in Photoshop that automate and manage the creation of painting like art effects.

I saw a great windows version (cant remember its name) but havent found a mac version with presets for themes like Monet, watercolours etc.

Can anyone suggest any ?

Maybe if you can remember the name of the software, it would be easier to suggest an alternative or where to find similar software ... Otherwise you best option is probably google some keywords and see if anything shows up ...

For Monet, you can use high ISO to get noise and also use manual focus to get the impressionist effect. I used this method last week in the photo gallery. If there's a filter then it would be more efficient perhaps.

Try Alien Skin's Snap Art 2.

You can try Corel Painter Essentials. It's quite a simple software to turn photos into paintings.

Try doing HDR shots, with the extreme setting it would create a paint-like effect.

what painting effect r u looking for....? water painting, oil painting....sketch etc etc....??
