personally i believe it's up to the ethics of the individual photographer. i don't think i've portrayed them in a bad light, so IMHO it's ok. |

Hi Larry
Very nice series of shots for such short stay. Very colourful especially red. Went to HCMC last year and took quite a number of street scenes but nothing like yours which required quite a bit of guts to get close to the subjects. My next destination to Vietnam will definitely be Hanoi. Cheers FM |

you're right, red seems to be the colour of choice among the VNese, esp during the SEA Games period since it's their national colour. they're a very emotional, passionate people - you should see they celebrating in the streets after they won the soccer semi-finals. actually, Hanoi is quite a quiet place, not much in terms of sights to see other than the Old Quarter (which i almost covered in one afternoon). i would have loved to go Halong Bay but was unable to cos of time constraints. i'm told HCMC is much more lively and catered to overseas visitors and tourists. |
