That's what i wanna know too. Specs look good and all, but with neat image n my trusty tripod.......should 7hi go for A1?

IMHO, not unless you have $$ that you don't know how to spend otherwise.

I realise the A1 has quite a few improvements over the 7Hi. If I didn't have a digicam, I'd definitely get the A1. But what if I already have the 7Hi? Then again, the way technology advances, I think I'll wait till my camera gets surpassed by 2-3 models (or if it konks out, whichever is earlier) before considering again.
