Default B/w Processing in Photoshop

Hi, I have found a pic here which the tone looks very nice. It was processed using a software plugin Bible Andy.

The Orginal pic

The Process pic

Any suggestion how to achieve this in Photoshop?

Thanks in advance.

hav u tried to do tht yrself in PS??

I dun c anything special abt this plugin, i used simple b/w conversion and level adjustment layers, just push the highlight/shadow and midtone cursor to achieve the similar effect.

perhaps u can elaborate what effect draws u, then I can hav another go.

the best actions are the ones that allow you a range of options and results, so that you can see that you emphasize what you want

but the best way, for me, is still channel mixer.

Hi thanks, probably because i am still new to PP what i like the high contrast between highlight and shadow. It draws the attention to the main subject.
