    Like those that can go above 250cm?

    Saw one at the last fireworks show. The user mounted an A300 or A350 and was using the tilt LCD and remote release cable.

    Manfrotto 161 goes to 2.67m, Gitzo GT5561SGT goes to 2.6m, but one thing's for sure, ANY tripod maxed out with be at it's most unstable.

    If you need that kinda of height, you might need to consider other options.

    Forgot - outdoors will be very susceptible to wind; indoors much safer and better off using a studio stand.
