I have been away from KL for a long time, not familiar with the nature around KL anymore, does anyone have any recommendation of where to go for nature shoot, like insects, bugs, birds, flowers?

Maybe you want to check another forum - Photomalaysia?

Maybe Fraser Hill is a good option?
Maybe places nearby Bukit Tinggi?

A few friends of mine went hiking around KL always, but some place can be about 1-2 hour more to reach.

List down a few, maybe you can start from there, ask around, or search internet for more info. I never been to any of this place, and did not know how far it from KL.
