    Default Turn on camera or flash first?

    Sori I know its a very noob qn but does it matter? Just curious.
    I couldnt find the answer online. Thks.

    I don't think it really matters, but my personal preference is to turn on cam then flash if any attached.. seems logical to me..

    there are many times i juz dismount the flash from my camera without turning it off.. not that i want to, but i keep forgetting to turn it off... but till now no issues... *cross fingers*

    Personally, I switch on the camera first then the flash. And when I dismount it, I turn off the flash and then remove it.

    yeah, i always turn on camera and then flash. but i think it is bad to mount the flash or take it off if it's on..

    Doesn't matter really, but usually i'll turn on camera first then flash.
    Canon EOS 5D, 24-70 f/4 L IS, 50 f/1.2 L, 70-300 f/4-5.6 L IS, 600EX-RT. Sigma 12-24 f/4.5-5.6 EX.

    Turn on camera first to check that it is working. No point to turn on flash if camera is not working.

    hahaha..true true so you don't waste your flash's battery too

    sometimes i just dismount even without switching it off and just put it back in the bag.

    To me, I'll turn on the flash 1st then turn on the camera.
    The flash needs time to "warm up".

    sometimes i don't even remember to switch off the flash...so the next time i mount it on my camera, it automatically switches on..
