Default Traditional Darkroom courses

Alright, I'm pretty impatient and I can't wait for another sharing session by enivre.

There are a few photographic clubs offering darkroom courses in Singapore, such as the SAFRA Photograpy club and the Photographic Society of Singapore (I think).

Which one is better in your point of view? Any other clubs/groups offering traditional darkroom courses?

And by the way, I'm not a member in neither the SAFRA Photography club nor the PSS.

i have enquire at the safra photoclub, and they wont be starting the course anytime soon.
I think it might be due to lack of people who sign up...

http://www.objectifs.com.sg/photo.htm. Pretty basic stuff.
they have it rather frequently.

Do u actually know wat the whole developing/printing process entails??? It's rather nice the first few times u do it...But after a while, i really think it's easier to scan the film and burn and doge using photosop. Besides, u have to get an enlarger machine, which is something that is quite rare to come by in singapore..

I do my own developing at home but never had an experience in a darkroom before.
The way the printmakers move their hands is something close to magic ...

Thanks for the link by the way

it's been a while since I visited clubsnap, it's nice to see this traditional hobby's stick kicking. Many years ago I and a group used to give frequent complimentary hands-on, some even conducted at my personal darkroom, pretty fun then.

I'm sure there're still few kind souls out dare still doing these? I'm near retirement and perhaps I would be able to find time to redo this again

meanwhile, enjoy the journey, the end result is always satisfying.
