I am looking for a basic printer to print documents and scan all my old photos. Currently, MP145 seems a good choice. However, I do have some old 35mm film which I want to convert to digital photo and this printer does not aloow it.
I was told previously that one could buy the film scanning add on to it. Has anyone come across this before? Please advise. |

The MP145 does only reflective surface scanning as it does not have a built in light box or has a light source from the top of the printer for scanning transparencies. Your negatives will not be scanned in at all. Even if you have a film unit, the MP145 lacks the hardware need to scan it. Im afraid you'll have to look at something else.
However you can scan your developed photos that are printed out, like those that you put in the albums with the scanner in the MP145, and its definately good enough for the job. Last edited by lordpain; 16th July 2009 at 11:51 AM. |
