Default OEM battery for A1 is coming

Hi guys,

A friend of mine went to John 3:16 today and was told that the OEM battery for A1 is coming. In fact, he was told that the battery will be in their store tomorrow.

Anybody has got it yet? from anywhere?

Thanks !!

Really. Looks like my wait is over. How much did they quoted your friend? Hope to get one before heading overseas.

that is certainly cheap compared with the original one. Can buy 3 OEM vs 1 Original.

Hope compatibility is not an issue.

Hi Sulhan,

maybe we can start a MO on this battery and get a better deal. I sure the rest of the A1 owners like me would defintely be very interested to get our hands on the OEM battery.

solomon76, is tbang me?? I am tbteng lah.......I'm in if there is a MO. Are you coordinating? I am suggesting that we all meet at 3:16 to pickup the battery. I thought it would be great to meet up other A1 users as well. What do you folks think?

Don't think our MO would be messy lah. Compared to Canon & Nikon, there are not many A1 users. I suppose there would be less than 10 in the final MO. I am going down CP to pick up a filter that I ordered earlier later in the evening today. I will pop by 3:16 as well to verify if indeed the battery is in.

I believe this can be coordinated and we can meet next week to close the MO if in deed 3:16 has the stock.

Don't think Eastgear stock Minolta OEMs. There're more pro Canon & Nikon.
Can call but my only fear is that they could have mistaken the battery something else. Since we are going for a MO, better make sure that's its the real thing. Else we will dissappoint a lot of A1(ers). That can be really " ". Since I'm going down might as well check it out.

New A1 owner here. Just got it last week and battery still running on first charge after 150++ shots. Thot original battery was pretty ex, therefore OEM battery would be useful. Do help us confirm the battery.

Dear all ... not sure where the missing link was.
Went to John 3:16 today, and they said the battery is not here yet.

Still need to wait for sometime, I guess.

I was at 3:16 as well after my CP trip to pick up a filter around 6.30pm. They said "it should come soon lah". I feel by they way they reply me, it seems like these chaps really do not even know whether or not it will come. Its just based what they think would happen.

Sorry A1(ers), i suppose its disappointment again.

I have also given up on waiting for the battery. Picked up a Maha Charger and couple batteries for my grip already.
