Hi Jack,

I am quite a newbie in tripod. I am using a Nikon D80 + kit len + SB600 flash most of the time.

Will any of these packages suit my camera setup? considering the total weight of my setup.

p/s: I noticed on the Benro website, the A-09M8 max support weight is 5.5lbs (2.5kg) while on your chart it is 6kg... confused. Can you elaborate why the different?

Also can I add on a quick release plate option? what is the price for the plate?

hermes129 -- The Travel Angel A-069 + B-00 package is $310.. And yes, a PU-40 quick release plate is included.

Photohobby -- For the sake of simplification, I'll assume that by "kit lens" you're referring to the 560g Nikkor 18-200mm DX VR?
(Nikkor 18-200mm DX VR is heavier than 18-55mm VR, 18-135mm or even the new 18-105mm VR)

So, based on a setup of Nikon D80 + Nikkor 18-200mm DX VR + SB600 (1.5kg~):

Tripod A300EX + ballhead BH-0 (max weight load = 4kg) -- No problem
Carbon Fibre Tripod M058 + head BH-00 (max weight load = 2.5kg) -- OK
Travel Angel Tripod A-069M8 + head BH-00 (max weight load = 2kg) -- OK

I realised that I've used the wrong chart for the Travel Angel Tripods section ...

The specs chart I should be displaying should be the Travel Angel (Aluminium) with BH-head specs [ Benro website link here ]
and not the Travel Angel (Aluminium) with B-head specs [ Benro website link here ]

Hi bro,

Went down to your shop today at lunch time but its not open.
Frankly,am quite disappointed as i rushed down during lunch time from woodlands hoping to take a look at your benro tripods and purchase your Benro messenger bag.

Reached there at 12.15pm and waited till 12.45pm but your shop was still closed.You stated in the thread that you open at 12pm.Tried calling the shop number but nobody answered.

Got to leave at 12.45pm as i got to rush back to work.Wasted my time and carpark fee.Nevertheless,will drop by again another day.

Ethyu, - sorry tripods with 3 way pan head comes in the T-series range and the head is fixed.

Vngks, - The Benro 98 EX monopod is sold at $115 (alu) & $275(carbon fiber)

Maman, - those are called Monopods. prices starts from $60. Do come on down to have a look and see which one suits you.
