The time has come for all amateur and professional photographers to grab your cameras and get clicking!
Themed "The things I love". the annual Insight Guides Photography Competition in collaboration with the Singapore Sun Festival 2009 is calling for inspiring photo submissions that are not only well composed but also evoke a mood and tell a story. SUbmit your entries and stand a chance to win great prizes.
Terms & Conditions
No cash alternative to be made. APA Publications, IMG Artists and sponsors of the competition will not be liable in any way should circumstances beyond its reasonable control prevent a prize from being taken up by a winner or interfere with a winner's enjoyment of the prize.
Entry & eligibility:
a)The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers alike apart from the employees of APA Publications and IMG Artists, their agents or member of their families. Entrants must be aged 18 or over at the date of entries are submitted.
b)By entering the competition, entrants agree to these terms & conditions:-
i) All photographs submitted must have been taken since 1st January 2009;
ii) All entries must be received by 15th September 2009, Tuesday;
iii)All image submission to the Insight Guides Photography Competition must be in digital format, submitted are online through www.singaporesunfestival.com. Photographic slides and prints are ineligible and may only be submitted as visual reference.
iv)Digital images must be 180 Ė 300 dpi in resolution and minimum pixel size should be 1993 x 3000 pixels. Each image submitted online should be no larger than 10MB.
v)Each entry must be clearly submitted with the entrantís name, address, phone number, e-mail address, date of birth, caption and place and date when taken.
vi)Images submitted should not be entered for any other photography competition.
vii)Entrants must own copyrights in all entries and by entering this competition, entrants warrant that their entries do not infringe the rights of any third party.
viii)No purchase is necessary.
ix)Entrants may submit a maximum of three (3) photos each.
Use of materials
a)For the avoidance of doubt, entrants agree that the APA Publications as the copyrights owner, shall have the right but not the obligation, to exhibit and reproduce and authorise other to reproduce, the winning entries for all publicity and promotional purposes connected to the competition, including exhibitions and calendars.
b)APA Publications and IMG Artists shall try to ensure that all materials used are credited with the entrantís name.
a)The winner will be chosen by the panel of judges led by Hans Hoefer, founder of Insight Guides.
b)The finalists will be notified by post, email or telephone after the closing date; not later than 5th October 2009. The Publisher and IMG Artists reserve the right to publish the names of the winners.
c)All selected finalists will be exhibited by print at Kinokuniya, Ngee Ann City, Singapore from 23 September Ė 9 October 2009.
d)The top three winners and the winner of the Peopleís Choice contest will be announced at Kinokuniya, Ngee Ann City on Sunday, 11 October 2009 at 4:00pm.
e)No correspondence will be entered into. No purchase is necessary. No cash or other alternative to the prizes will be available. The decision of the judges shall be final.
