Default Help. Dilemma!

I am currently using a D3.
I just switched over from a D70s and i am now left with 2 lens.
1. 50mm AF f/1.8D Nikkor
2. 70-300mm AF f/4-5.6G Nikkor

I want to be a modeling, sports and wedding photographer.
Any recommendations for what lens I should get?

I have a few in my mind:
1. 70-200mm f/2.8 Nikkor
2. 30mm f/2.8 Nikkor

I don't know, maybe you guys can give me better alternatives?

i don't think there is such a lens in Nikon's line-up...

anyway if you want to be a "modeling, sports and wedding photographer" and you already have a top of the line professional DSLR D3... hmm... i think you should know which lenses to invest in right? otherwise why would you buy a D3 in the first place?

the 70-200mm f2.8 VR is not a bad start... just add the other two more zooms of the trinity and you'll have the best lenses (friendly warning: but don;t fall into the false idea that having such pro gear will lead to pro results...)

also you might want to allocate some more money for flashes (2 or more would be good) and not forgetting to add another professional body (maybe the D3x?)... pros normally work with at least 2 bodies... or forgot to add... you also need to buy some pro grade post-processing software too...

have fun spending and enjoying using all those pro gear!

all the best to your future pro career!

cheers!

I meant 300mm, pardon me for my typo error.
I am still a student and I have all the time to learn slowly, ain't I right?
And I am aware that having pro gear doesn't mean getting pro results, but having pro gears allows you to get pro results, if relevant skills are implemented.

Post Processing Software:
1. Adobe Lightroom 2
2. Adobe Photoshop CS4
3. Aperture 2

These are the post processing softwares i have. I am not sure if you will grade them as pro.
I am new to photography. So please pardon me.

Maybe you can also view my works on :

I am the photographer for AYG2009 shooting event.
They are not very good but I need guidance on how to improve.

14-24 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8, 70-200 VR, 50 f1.4 and 85 f1.4 should be the best bet to match your very capable D3.

Next up, add skills and you can be a pro.

Yea, i guess 24-70mm and 85mm is a must then.
Besides the 85mm, i was thinking of getting a Voigtlander 90mm Apo-Lanthar f/3.5 SL.
Is it recommended?

I guess i know what you mean then. There are a whole lot of newbs out there who needs guidance. (including me)

Like now, I have another question:
I am gonna develop my pictures, how am should i go around doing it?
1. Change the size of the picture?
2. What is DPI?
3. How to change DPI?
4. So after all these steps, can i head to the photo center to print them?

Sorry for the incessant questions, i really hope that you guys can help me. I can't find anything online to assist me with my questions.

Thanks.

Maybe you should take up some photography course. You will have all the answers there.

i think you should worry less about which lens to get and look more at good photos taken by sports photographers. I think the ones on this site is pretty cool, imo.

I have a lot to learn. I can only take baby steps at a time then.
Those pictures are nice, captured at the right moments.
Very intense. I like.

Thanks guys. I think my question have been resolved,
take baby steps, don't rush.
