what kind of burn marks..?because of sunlight(when using flash extenders for eg.) or because of flash overheating..?

Service centre has replacement body kits ...prices range depending on which part and model..i changed the front of my previous SB-800 due to burnt marks from the sun by flash extender, and that cost $99 i think...furthermore depends on parts availability as well..

It's like those brown spots on the flash. Can it be replaced? I'm using a D60 btw.

Pardon me for the inaccurate description. Newbie to my cam

Must have been high levels of usage? I don't think it affects the output

you can. just go to NSC.

if you see burn marks, probably mean you over-stressed your flash by firing too fast too soon for it to properly recycle between flashes. happens on any kind of flash. NSC will probably just replace the flash unit itself.

Well, why dont you check with the NSC and contribute to the forum with the cost/time to repair/exact reason for damage/warranty coverage. etc
