Hi,
I notice that when ever I press the shutter of my D90, the frame moved a little. What I mean is after I composed my shot, it moved a little during the capturing. Strangely in burst mode, only the first frame is shifted. What I mean: 1. I set up the camera on a tripod. 2. I use burst mode to take the same scene. 3. Results, the first frame is shifted from my composition. The subsequent 2nd and 3rd or even 4th frame will not have the shift... When I stack the photos in PS, only the first shot is shifted... Any one has the same problem on D90? Thanks.

Are you using a lens with VR? If so, I suspect that if VR is turned on, it could have caused the slight shift in the frame when you fire off in burst mode. It is recommended that VR be turned off when shooting on a tripod.

Yupz, VR is on.
Happen to me when it was on a tripod. Just off the VR. Should be fine. ![]()

Hi guys,
I do hope its due to the VR lens. Let me check. But the problem doesn't happen only when it was on tripod...many a times I am doing ev bracket with handheld burst mode...tripod was just to confirm. Let me try out with non VR lens and confirm...I think its was there when I was shooting with my Tokina 12-24. Let me confirm.

Similar experiences. Even when mounted on tripod taking multiple exposures of night scene, I also noticed my frame also moved a bit! My lens is without VR.
I realized its due me extending the center shaft of the tripod too much and its wobbles the camera a bit (minor vibrations) when I click on the shutter. So now I use remote or timed released. |
