Question F90X

Oh ok... I am sort of the old school who still shoots films occasionally and I bought a used F90X. However, the film backing is kind of "sticky" due to the years of wearing and tearing of the thin layer of rubber on it.

Does anyone know how to peel it off or treat the surface to make it less sticky?

Check with the service centres. They should have a replacement part for that.

Ok, thanks! I will give the SC a call on Monday. TCW suggests that I slowly scrap away the rubber coating which I think it is going to get messy and scratchy.

If you're not really particular with the looks, I agree with TCW.
After removing rubber coating, the back cover will be shiny just like the front and top cover.
But you will loose all those icons printed at the back cover

Remove the cover from the back.
Remove the rollers as well.
Soak the back cover in IPA.
Use some plastic scrapper to remove the sticky stuff.
The back will be shiny plastic and you'll lose the icons, as fatique has mentioned.

Hi Fatique... I am not particular about having a shiny back, just don't want to scratch the back while removing the rubbery layer.

Thomas, your idea sounds great but what is IPA?

Aveda, nail polish remover may cause some plastic to have a "blurring" effect if I'm not wrong. It's like paint remover?

IPA stands for isopropyl alcohol.
You can get this from pharmacy or Sim Lim Tower (PCB board cleaner).
This was how I removed the sticky stuff from my F90x a few years back.

Nail polish contains acetone, Acetone reacts with plastic
