i think it's easy as developing film as long as you have the necessary equipment, but the problem is where to get an enlarger locally? can get in evil bay but prepare to pay for a high shipping cost.

It's easy when one justs prints without doing anything else. But when burning, dodging, contrast adjustment (paper or chemical ...), etc., one will wish it was as easy to perfect as in Photoshop :-). And if frames in a roll have varying adjustments to be done, ouch and expensive, lots of paper may be used while trying to get the desired effect.

Yes, but I don't know if you have to explicitly specify whether enlarger or scan. I never used them, but I've seen some of their customers, and some being shown contact prints (these can only come from an enlarger most likely ... one can also use just a lightbulb). Since the enlarger printer person will not burn and dodge, the contact print is good for checking, and then tell them whether lighter or darker tone - this is applied to all of course, not per frame.

One can also probably buy the high quality paper from them (like fibre) and specify it to be used.

Well, you can try to be a member of the Singapore Photographic Society, they have a darkroom members can use, as well as lessons. It can be fun to learn with others.

Thanks, yes, he is the no. 1 best in the world, the only Asian to reach the very top. Must watch him live this November in Vegas, should be a sure bet to win, make some money to buy a camera
