Question HDR on GIMP?

Hi...

Does anyone knows if there is an automated function for HDR processing on GIMP or at least a freeware HDR processor? If not, if there is a plugin for Lightroom 2 to achieve similar effect?

Not looking for pirated/cracked softwares...

A quick search comes up with the following:

1) Download Exposure Blend Script from here

2) A Lengthy tutorial on how to do HDR on Gimp

3) Stand Alone Free software - Qtpfsgui

I noticed that most of the above solution either do not alignment the images for you or in the case of Qtpfsgui, does not do it very well. Alignment is something that Photomatix Pro does very well.

Unless you have a very stable tripod and your images are 100% aligned, you are going to end up with misaligned results. I have tried many free solution before and ended up buying the Photomatix Pro because the results are very good.
