Default Face recognition photo management software

hi,

Hope experts out there could advise on any software that could recognise photos of people's faces (only one person in each photo rather than group photos), group thousands of such photos under the correct person.

Example: A week's event where 3000-4000 people will be photographed daily and every photos taken by different photographers (e.g 200photographers) daily will uploaded to this software for auto face matching.

I had tried PICASA which have the face recognition system but wonder if there is any such commercial, offline photo management/tagging software?

thanks =)

The software that comes bundled with all Sony DSLR cameras can do this.

Is this useful?
Home user is target customer.
Cheap and easy.

Of course Police, FBI,CIA, etc got the real thing which cost $$$$ and not for commercial sale anyway.

Organize by who, where, and when.

It’s so easy to take digital photos that before you know it, you have thousands. iPhoto gives you more ways to keep track of your photos by organizing them according to who’s in your pictures, where you took them, and when you took them.

Faces to see.
iPhoto ’09 introduces Faces: a new feature that automatically detects and even recognizes faces in your photos. iPhoto uses face detection to identify faces of people in your photos and face recognition to match faces that look like the same person. That makes it easy for you to add names to your photos. And it helps you find the people you’re looking for. Clicking the Faces view shows you a corkboard featuring a snapshot for each person you’ve named. iPhoto suggests a set of possible matches you can confirm with a click.
