Hey! That looks like the Teramate.

If it is the same as the Teramate, I would advise against it. The construction is so plastic. My customers and I agree that the construction can be much much better.

You can see the teramate here.

I think this is like the X-Drive.
Only function in LCD is copy and cannot actually see the files being copied.
Hence no assurance that files are indeed copied.
Heard that were cases where files were not saftely copied

Aiyah, the new X-Drive II is a better product already. Less problems.

Just remember to copy twice - to ensure, like I do (have since sold it to get my Phototainer).

I think Eastgear got no stock for XDrive II for sometime liao.
Also understand than Xdrive II also cannot see the files being copied.
Which is why Eastgear only promoting NixVue Lite as a better product.
But alas, much more ex...$259 vs $159 which is like 60% more

I'm looking for a portable solution as well but I find that $259 for NixVue Lite
w/o HDD is bit ex. Esp if buy 2.5" HDD adds another $150 into the equation
Also can't afford it now.
Hoping that price will drop..but I doubt

If u know of any other solution (other than bring my laptop to trips), do share
with us here ..

thanks..dark

x-drive 2 is still available in quite a few shops in Funan. Not sure about SLS though but I intend to check it out this weekend. Prices quoted around S$163 - S$165 for the x-drive 2.

Am also looking for some portable digital storage solution. I have an old IBM 6G HDD so I am looking more for the casing only. If you need the HDD, than the Portigio with HDD seems quite reasonable.
