By the way, Pentax K-7 was on today's Digital Life also but just a small column...

Maybe we can think of alternate ads, for fun.

    Possible tags:
    * The DSLR for all seasons
    * Weather resistant toughie.
    * Don't stop when the rain starts.
(Okok, I can think of more corn, but you get the idea.)

    Visual:
A chap in a raincoat or poncho, shooting in a moderately heavy rain, with, of course, a K-7 and WR lens. While other photographers run for shelter.

Something to stand out from merely showing the K-7 itself.. we all love it, sure. It's sexy, sure. It's cool, sure. But the average person will just see it as yet another black blob of a camera, and one with a funny name somemore (ie. not Canon, Nikon or even something more recognised like a Sony).

Harp on a unique selling point. And keep harping.

I still have no luck in registering the warranty online. Same error message as before
"The serial number is invalid or is already registered"

Anyone managed to do so or have heard from Emjay?

Also, any word re to the 18 months warranty offer for pre-orders?

Reply from Emjay to my email:
"I will forward this to the web programmer to resolve. In the meantime, your
warranty is still in effect. Please keep your original receipt."

As for length of warranty, no reply.

    Thanks for the update.

bananaOne - I don't think it is the number of digit issue. Let's wait for Emjay to overcome the programming issue.

Take out your box, look inside for the Serial Number Card and enter the 13 digits from that card. The 7 digits are just the first 7 digits of the serial number.

OK. I managed to register. I am sure I tried the 13 digit S/N the other day but didn't work. Maybe just my mistake.
It's all good now. And I can see 1.5 yrs of standard warranty in my account info. I am happy now

    I don't understand this.
I registered just now and the system indicated as 2 Years warranty (cannot be de-selected).
Upon submission, it asked me to pay $88 to activate the warranty. Did I do something wrongly?

did not see any indication of length of warranty during registration. you might have ticked "purchase warranty extension"?
