#5 D40x with Hoya R72 filter ![]() #6 D40x with Hoya R72 filter ![]() #7 This image is taken with D40x ELP filter before change to Hoya R72 ![]() #8 This photo to show that with Hoya R72 on the D40x I still can get the golden leaves. I use the WB set by using the ELP filter, I saved all the WB setting in a small card for future use. ![]() |

mousedeers, for #8, is there any compromise in using WB used for ELP on R72 ? If shot in RAW, is it very important to set the WB at the point of shoot ? Can adjust the WB to the WB you saved for ELP during PP right ? Tks.

Not important to set the WB on the point of shoot, set and save the WB on a good sunny day on a card and this card is only use for the Setting of WB do not use it to take photo and do not plug in the card reader. I only shoot in JPEG but in shoot RAW too. I have try to get the WB for ELP during PP but very unsuccessful. |

![]() 1. How is the WB saved on a good sunny day used for the Setting of WB when it is not important to set the WB on the point of shoot ? That means to say it is not necessary to set WB everytime but can always use a generic one taken on a good sunny day previously ? 2. You tried to get the WB for ELP during PP but not very successful. Meaning although you managed to set WB for ELP during the shoot using the R72 modded-cam, but still unable to get close to the result of a ELP modded-cam ? One more question. When you set the WB for the modded-cam, do you also point the cam at a patch of grass under the sun to get it ? Tks for your time. Really appreciate it.

q2. Yes still can not get close to the result of the ELP modded-cam. I set the WB by pointing to the leaves, sky and wall, so far I never point to the grass. Set as many WB as possible and saved it. Choice the WB the one you like most. cheers. |
