Your captures of the bee in flight are one of the best i've seen so far. Great focus on the flying bee. I've tried shooting them before and i know how difficult it is to get the correct focus. You nailed it bro ! Good job !

thanks everyone for your comments.

i was using a pentax K20D & tamron 90mm. didn't manage to get quite close enough, but the 14.6MP allowed me to crop quite heavily. will try to attempt more in-flight macros, they are certainly much harder to accomplish than co-operative stationary insects.

Your flying bee shots are superb.
It reminds me of Bee Movie.

thanks! don't think i watched bee movie.. was a bit too old for it when it came out

yup flash was used to freeze the bee in flight. was testing out my flash bracket at this shoot. just upgraded it yesterday, got to test it out again.
