Good control on the focus ! Images are sharp and the lighting is well controlled. The thing which you can improve on is the composition of the photos, let your photos tell a story to the viewer. My vote goes to #2. For #3, you are focusing on the head of the dragonfly, this causes the wings to be blurred due to the DOF. If you want to capture the whole dragonfly, you can try aligning your sensor from a top view to get it parallel with with the subject so you can achieve a even DOF throughout. Else if you want to focus on the details on the head, i suggest shooting it head on instead of a side on approach. For #4 Try not to shoot from the rear of the insect, adjust yourself to the front or side. But overall nice captures ! Continue shooting !

Hi, it's beside the library. It's a HUGE park. so i suppose there should be lots of insects.

Hi there,

For the dragonfly shot, I dont think the empty space at the left will do anything good. The photo will be better if you shoot it in portrait mode!

Spend hours today, but only 1 acceptable pic. moving insects are hard to snap!

So far for Night macro, i've been mainly to Lower Pierce, and recently tried Admiralty Park for the 1st time for Night Macro.
