Bokeh is ok.. pic quite sharp..
Except for the lighting.. a bit dull... Luks like shadows covering the foods.. Can improve further.. Last edited by rockmastez; 20th June 2009 at 11:15 PM. |

![]() also, i'm facing the light.. sorry, below is the settings Camera: NIKON CORPORATION Model: NIKON D90 ISO: 400 Exposure: 1/60 sec Aperture: 2.8 Focal Length: 46mm Flash Used: No I am using a Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 EX DG lens and i think the lens' bokeh is quite "rough" and am wondering if its because of the lens. ![]() Last edited by narofx; 21st June 2009 at 12:12 AM. |

your table is too reflective
put a piece of table cloth or some darker shades to soften

bokeh is pretty bad. it is due to the lens and the particular shooting parameter (eg subject distance, background distance, aperture etc). get a premium nikkor or carl zeiss that is known for creamy bokeh if that is what you want.

If you are facing the sun, and you dont use flash to fill in, your picture will be dark and dull in the front while the background is bright. Use flash wisely, not any old how use to blast it to subject. I am sure your D90 has the function to set ''Flash Exposure Compensation''. Cheers

try shooting at the max focal length of 75mm/f2.8 for shallower DOF and better bokeh.
for the current pic, a tighter crop and adjustments in levels and contrasts as suggested by others earlier will give the image a bit more pop. e.g. ![]() |
