Hey guys, can anyone advise me on the performance between these two lens? I suppose L-len will produce sharper image. However, it seem that 70-300 IS outperfom L-len if shoot with handheld? Anyone use these two lens before?
To have sharp image, do you think the 70-200F4L len should shoot with tripod rather than handheld? Thank you for your advise in advance .. |

Get a 55-250 and save up for the 70-200 f4 IS. The difference between the 55-250 and 70-300 is not great enough to warrant the $ difference. I'm sure some people can hand hold 200mm at 1/60, but for the majority of us a telephoto lense without IS is useless in lower light conditions without a tripod/monopod.

Thanks for the reply. Since most of us could not shoot well for telephoto len without IS, how come the 70-200 F4L len so expensive.. haha...

There were some discussions on these 3 lenses (70-200 F4L, 70-300mm F4-5.6 USM and EF S 55-250mm IS) think may be useful for you, I have the 70-300mm am happy with the image quality.
