Default AH butterflies and chameleon

Hi everyone,

my first trip to AH butterfly trail and also my first attempt on butterflies. The chameleon was a bonus i guess.

Pls comments. Pics were cropped and touched on PS.

yea .. i admit the butterfly series look soft cos i don't have a micro lens used a 24-85 with 1.4TC and then cropped with PS.

shutter speed is about 1/60 to 1/100.

thanks for yr time

Credible attempts nonetheless. Colours are well saturated too. The "chameleon" is what is commonly called the "Changeable Lizard".

I see ... so the softness is caused by TC. It is considered good quality shots taken by this combo , I think the next improvement need to upgrade ur lens

You can try either the Sigma EX105mm or the Tamron SP 90mm. Both are excellent 3rd party lenses and some of the CSers use either one or the other with pretty good results for macro work.

Hi horizoner,
Nice brilliant shots.
That lizard is a Calotes Versicolor also called a Changeable Lizard or a Garden Fence Lizard. Often mistaken for a chameleon.

as Papilio said either the Sigma EX105mm or the Tamron SP 90mm is good enuff

a good lens will improve ur shot quality but will not improve ur composition .... try to practise more , understand more on the object & learn how to improve .. etc
